On September 26, Abbey Building submitted a planning application to Dublin City Council to construct an 80 bedroom nursing home at 18 Fairview Avenue Lower & Fairview Terrace. The application states:

The proposed one-way system for Lomond Ave., Waverley Ave., Melrose Ave. & Inverness Road has been rejected by Dublin City Council. In a letter from DCC Roads & Traffic department to the Residents’ Association, they stated that:
