Fairview CYMC / LC is the biggest & best social club in the neighbourhood. It provides facilities to play pitch & putt, football, golf, pool and darts along with a full bar & function hall (available to hire).

Located on Philipsburgh Avenue, CYMC/LC has been on this site since 1919 and celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2009. The new clubhouse opened in 1983, replacing the old CYMS building on the same site.

Today Fairview Community & Young Men’s & Ladies Club is a modern sports & social club, open to all with  great facilities available for functions, parties, meetings and fun of all sorts. The club is still famous today for the friendly welcome of its members. We have a proud sporting tradition with the oldest pitch & putt course in Leinster and a great record of success in amateur football.

Some of the activities in the CY building include:

• The Billie Barry stage school
• Timeless Beauty clinic
• Saturday night dancing for the over 50s (8pm - 12am)
• CY Shotkan Karate with the Karate Union of Ireland. Classes:
  • Adults: Monday 8-9pm
  • Children: Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm
  • Mixed: Thursday 7.30-8.30pm
• Lullaby’s Montessori: Monday 8.30am-12.30pm
• Sunday nights Sing-along & dance (8.30-11.30pm)
• Wednesday nights music & fun bingo (9.30-11.30pm)

Sports

There are many sporting sections within the club, for both adults and children. You can enjoy pitch & putt competeitions on one of the oldest and best courses in Ireland. Play football or help out in the management of our two amateur football teams. Golf with the CY Golf Society, which has 8 well organised meetings each year - including an away trip to golf in the sun.

Add to this pool competitions and leagues, darts and even cards and it is clear that Fairview CYMC/LC offers a welcome to all, whatever your age or interest.

Social

We have a bright, modern private members bar offering refreshments at club prices (good nights out don’t have to cost a packet). There is regular bar entertainment with cabaret shows, fun quizzes, race nights, and lots more.

So whether it is just a quiet drink with friends or watching the match on the big screen or a chance to have a laugh in a quiz or a sing-along, the club has lots to offer.

Function rooms available

For birthday parties, special occasions, events or meetings, we have a room to suit. Our main hall caters for 100-200 people and has its own private bar, kitchen facilites and secure parking.
